SPRING NECTAR FOUNDATION FOR INDIAN MUSIC AND HERITAGE
Spring Nectar Foundation For Indian Music and Heritage is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization dedicated to creating musicians of the future in traditional, classical, folk music of South India in vocal, instruments. Spring Nectar's Indian music ensemble will be involving its performers of ancient and current time classical, traditional, contemporary, modern and folk music of Southern India. Members of the Spring Nectar ensemble will be carefully hand-picked to be trained to perform a variety of musical works from the 2nd through twenty-first centuries in all participating concerts each year. The current dedicated music ensemble is very diverse ages ranging from Kindergartens, College graduates, working adults to senior citizens, whose focus is traditional, classical, and folk music of India. Spring Nectar's Indian ensemble will stand as a defining measure of musical scholarship. While developing both competence and character, the performers will also prove mastery, artistry, and professionalism from a very tender age.
Performing members of Spring Nectar Ensemble participate in different music events to gain real-world class performance experience. Traveling not only throughout California but the other parts of the USA performing in various finest venues for a wide array of audiences will be the primary motto of the ensemble. Since its inception, Spring Nectar Ensemble has been working to earn a visible artistic presence in the Los Angeles, and Orange County areas.
Spring Nectar Foundation for Indian Music & Heritage works toward three major aspects to achieve their goals 1. MUSIC EDUCATION, 2. CULTURAL ETHICS, 3. COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT
1. MUSIC EDUCATION: Teach Vocal, Instrumental music in traditional, classical, and folk music of India. Present workshops and lecture demonstrations on Traditional, Classical, & Folk music themes, from India Conduct Summer Heritage Camps to prepare performing members for concert preparedness and so forth.
2. CULTURAL ETHICS: Presenting premier Indian Music concerts and workshops by the Spring Nectar’s Music Gurus, as well as the Carnatic practitioners from the other parts of the world. Encourage all members to participate actively in music presentations. Encouraging participants to speak their ethnic language, motivate them to wear the traditional Indian attire, follow all cultural ethics and disciplines in their day-to-day life to promote the rich heritage of Indian culture.
3. COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT: Collaborating music presentations and workshops with visiting artists from around the world. Work with educational institutions, Religious and Spiritual Indian Temples and Fine Arts & Music Organizations in co-promoting and presenting rich Indian music and performing arts presentations.
Spring Nectar Foundation For Indian Music and Heritage will strongly support Music education for the youth and adults. The Academy’s Annual Heritage Camp Called Guru Kula Camp (Ancient Indian Teaching methodology) will be conducted once or twice a year to teach the musical and cultural values, performance methodologies, concert strategies, and so forth.
Spring Nectar's music ensemble will work towards receiving a great appreciation from wide arrays of audiences for their traditional Music presentations in a very innovative, and creative way to reach out. They will be focusing on performing the Indian Traditional, Classical, and Folk Arts in the finest venues around the world.
